Land of Fire
My path led me to a very arid island: Lanzarote. As soon as I arrived, it seemed like a lifeless and old land, but in reality it is always moving, active, full of colors illuminated by the sun. Every sign of life from nature is incredible: how can it survive without water? The secret is revealed during the night: the mist and dew that form thanks to the drop in temperature offer the precious gift of life. These droplets of water, which are created by the condensation of atmospheric water vapor, not only support the plants but also allow for a splendid wine, with a different flavor... it is a miracle of nature and life. Each vine of the few vineyards is protected from the wind by small walls that surround them, built with volcanic stones. The contrast between the green and the black is beautiful and unique, with magnificent volcanoes as a backdrop. The mornings become a spectacle of light and mist. The island is extraordinary in many ways. It is surrounded by the blue of the ocean, which during the winter becomes powerful and crashes with impressive force against the cliffs and rocks. Every corner of Lanzarote hides some surprise, something new and unexpected that leaves you amazed. I felt its energy flow inside me, a connection with the land, an unforgettable sensation.
