Stories
The luck of taking part in expeditions that lead you to remote and unknown places doesn't happen every day. Sometimes this luck turns into risky adventures, especially if you set out inexperienced and poorly equipped, but I'm here to tell the stories and so in the end everything turned out for the best. But my life after those experiences changed shape and color. Lands never trodden by human feet, dense jungles, primitive and unreliable communication systems, threatening rivers, thirst, numbered cans of food and unquenchable hunger seem like high prices, but that's how you pay for the spectacle of untouched nature you reach. Arriving in villages never before visited by white women was once just a dream that became reality! The unusual but revitalizing food, the bed under a blanket of stars, the music in a sleepless forest... Everything was pure emotion. Emotions you don't forget and that you miss when you return to trash-food, to places where the sky no longer shines and where music is often just the sound of a siren. And then meeting the Philippine cyclone... How to contain all these emotions, how to govern the sublime before the storm? Snow, wind, and low temperatures. And then the mysterious Mt. Madwe (over 5000m) that hadn't been climbed by anyone for years. Experiences that are not just about overcoming your comfort zone, but truly going beyond every standard of human limit. This is what I must remember when I am overwhelmed by the inevitable annoyances of life...
